My Vintage Pattern collection on the move to Vietnam

Tomorrow I’ll be off to Vietnam on a wee break with Joe.  I have been told by that the Vietnamese are masters at Tailoring and copying clothing designs.  As I am an avid collector of vintage dress patterns and fabrics I have decided to take some patterns, fabrics, belt buckles and buttons from my collection and get them made up in Vietnam. This is a big decision on my part to let some of these gorgeous lengths be cut especially the silk lengths that I have held on to for all these years. I hope it works out!  Here is a selection of what’s being packed…..

Yallingup sewing

Here is a snippet of what happened down in Yallingup with my sewing machine.

The blocks are partly sewn together and of course a highlight is my favourite colour red, which is just peeking out there from the pile of blocks.

To be continued…

Yallingup

For our little jaunt down to Yallingup, I set up my machine and cutting board on the table and pushed it up to the window.  I had a view like this every time I glanced up.  The closest place to heaven…….
